Life Eternal

“I loved you and you loved me.
That’s all that really matters in the end.”

I have often wondered what your last thoughts would be when passing from this life to the next. Your wealth, possessions, and achievements have no value as you realise that this is it. Your connections and true feelings of love are what bind us and make us whole. It is everything and all.

The title is taken from a song by the band Ghost which touches on a man’s battle with death and eternal life and one’s decision to seek the light or the dark in those passing moments.

The quote under the title is part of an incomplete poem I wrote a while back which emphasises the main theme of the piece.

The tartan scarf covering the subjects of modesty pays homage to my Celtic roots. Both my parents and grandparents are of Scottish and Irish descent.
